 Permanent Council for Active Non-violence (PCANV)

To implement a permanent council of active Non-violence (PCANC) in a community is a two years process. The first year are dedicated for training educators.

The first year,  the council is aiming in reaching the following conditions:  1-decision-making is shared among the institutions and the individual, with "real" democratic mechanisms 2-equal opportunities for everyone as a basic for solidarity and cooperation among community members; 3- inner state of «peace» is lived as day to day experimentation. 4- decreasing sensation of fear and anxiety.

Permanent council goal: surpassing violence in personal daily life and in social and institutional field simultaneously.

Every day, we are confronted with belief that non-violence is not possible in a violent world. But, everyone has experimented inspiration for justice, liberty and social peace. We can choice to live in a nonviolent world. Non- violence is the methodology of action that opens opportunities for personal and social change for the coming time.

Several Council for Active non-violence emerged in Latina America since 2005. Professors José Pescio and Patricia Nagy book authors «A Solidarity and Nonviolent Culture (2003)» are working on the implementation of the PCANV. The book serves as a guide to implement Permanent Council for Active nonviolence. Since 2008, the University of Technology & National Strategy (NTU) offers a certification as "Academic Expert in permanent councils for Active non-violence training".
