Sport is a powerful tool to strengthen social ties and networks, and to promote ideals of peace, fraternity, solidarity, non-violence, tolerance and justice. In its efforts to use sport as a catalyst for peace and social development'UNESCO.

to promote education for nonviolence
to open a dialogue between youth from diverse background, religions, cultures
to support global awareness for Active non-violence around the world

Run this way
The fund that are raise in Canada are donate to the Run This Way program in school.

Each year the program is offering ribbons or medals to students in race across Canada. Run This way volunteers offer classroom workshops and booklets for elementary and High Schools students.

Cities and town organizing races with associations and colleges use the found to implement a Permanent council for Active Nonviolence
The first race was organize in Rome the World Without wars and without violence in collaboration with the city of Rome, Doctors without borders.  (see)
